Timberland
After Timberland created its waterproof, wheat-coloured Boot in '73, a global icon was born. Intended for blue-colour workers, the style found rapid success and later on became ubiquitous in hip-hop's utilitarian dress-code. Alongside its rugged Boots, Timberland's Boat Shoe is synonymous with preppy uniform in the '80s. Timberland's legacy is intertwined with subcultural connotations, but in recent years the brand has executed interesting collaborations and expanded its product offering with even more reliable silhouettes.
